Description

Turn any 2-inch CLS (City Light Suppression) filter into a Vespera-recognized filter. The adapter has built-in electronics, so your Vaonis Vespera detects it and the Singularity app enables CLS mode automatically.

Fits all models: Vespera (original), Vespera II (Vespera 2), Vespera Pro, Vespera Pro 2 and Vespera Passenger.

When to use a CLS filter on Vespera

A CLS filter cuts the orange glow of sodium and mercury street lights while letting through most of the broadband light from stars. It's ideal for galaxies, star clusters and reflection nebulae from suburban skies, where a dual band filter would remove too much signal. Common targets include the Andromeda Galaxy, the Pleiades and M81/M82.

Imaging emission nebulae from the city? A dual band (DB) filter adapter is the better choice for those.

Features

  • Recognized by Vespera – the Singularity app shows the CLS icon and switches to CLS mode.
  • Standard 2" thread (M48 × 0.75) – fits Svbony CLS, Optolong L-Pro and other 2" light pollution filters.
  • Keeps focus and calibration – back focus matches standard Vespera operation.
  • Tool-free fit – anti-rotation notches hold it in place; no modifications needed.
  • Matte PLA, 3D-printed – lightweight and tested on my own Vespera.

Setup

  1. Thread your 2" CLS filter into the adapter.
  2. Place the adapter on the Vespera lens.
  3. Singularity detects it and turns on CLS mode, with guided steps in the app.

In the box

1 × Vespera CLS filter adapter ring. Filter sold separately.

FAQ

Will Vespera recognize it as a CLS filter?
Yes. The ring contains the electronics Vespera uses to identify a CLS filter.

Is it compatible with Vespera II and Vespera Pro?
Yes. It fits every Vespera model, including Passenger.

What filters fit?
Any 2" filter with a standard M48 × 0.75 thread from Svbony, Optolong, Askar and other brands.

CLS or dual band – which should I buy?
CLS for galaxies and star clusters; dual band for emission nebulae. Many owners use both. See the DB + CLS + Solar bundle.
